Mr. George C. “Peter-Rabbit” Stanley, 93 of, Miami, FL (formerly of Longwood, NC) passed away on Thursday, November 7, 2024, at Vitas Healthcare in Miami, FL. Graveside services will be held on Saturday, November 16, 2024, at 1:00 PM at Flowers Cemetery (Behind Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church),7370 Mt. Zion Church Rd. NW, Longwood, NC 28452. Burial will immediately follow the services. Visitation will be held on Friday, November 15, 2024, from 4:00-7:00PM in the chapel of Peoples Funeral Home of Shallotte, Inc., 5190 Ocean Hwy. West, Shallotte, NC 28470.

Mr. Stanley is survived by (2-Children) Christopher C. Stanley and Tabitha L. Stanley; (3-Grandchildren) Tyesha Thompkins, Felicia Brown, and Takia Williams; (1-Bonus Granddaughter) D’Andrea Thompson; (6-Great-Grandchildren) Taylor and Amber Heywood, Sirr Gathers, Mahassian, My’Angel, and Mahogany Cox; (1-Bonus Great-Grandson) Makai’o Jourdain; (2- Brothers) James (Foster) Stanley and David L. (Margaret) Stanley; (1-Sister) Ruby J. Vault; (1-Son-in-Law) Richard Brown; Host of loving nephews, nieces, cousins, in-laws, other relatives and friends.

 Mr. Stanley was a Veteran of United States Army.
