Mr. Joseph Hemmingway

Mr. Joseph “Baby” Hemmingway, 53, of 2284 Freedom Star Rd., Longwood, NC died Monday, August 29, 2016 at 1924 Empire Rd., Supply, NC.  The funeral service will be held Saturday, September 3, 2016 at 2:00 pm at Mt. Zion Missionary Baptist Church, 7370 Mt. Zion Church Rd., Longwood, NC 28452.  Burial will follow in the church cemetery.  The viewing will be held on Friday, September 2, 2016 from 1:00 pm until 6:00 pm in the chapel of Peoples Funeral Home of Shallotte, Inc., 5190 Ocean Hwy. W., Shallotte, NC 28459.   Mr. Hemmingway is survived by:  wife, Rose Hemmingway, one son, Kelvin Hemmingway (Richia); six grandchildren, Khalil, Kataja, Katana, KaNyla, Kaalyn, and Kingston; two stepchildren, Angela and Zavier; three sisters, Nancy Daniels, Annie Daniels and Dessie Hickman; four brothers, Joe Hemmingway (Denise), Johnny Hemmingway (Marie), Jerry Hemmingway (Minnie) and Terry Pickett; three, step grandchildren, Dajuan, Brianna and Angel; and a host of other loving relatives and dear friends.
