Mrs. Cora Lane Best, 84 of Supply, NC passed away on Tuesday, May 5, 2026, at Novant Health Brunswick Medical Center in Bolivia, NC. Funeral services will be held on Friday, May 15, 2026, at 1:00 PM at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church, 8950 Ocean Hwy. West, Calabash, NC 28467. Burial will follow at Pleasant Grove Cemetery, on Hwy.17-S (Tree Swamp Trial across from Crows Creek Golf Course, Carolina Shores, NC 28468. Viewing will be held on Thursday, May 14, 2026, from 4:00 PM-6:00 PM at Peoples Funeral Home-Shallotte Chapel, 5190 Ocean Hwy. West, Shallotte, NC 28470 and on Friday, May 15, 2026, following the services at Pleasant Grove Missionary Baptist Church.

Mrs. Best is survived by her (Children) Evelena (Samuel) Bellamy, Janice (Ollan) Vaught, and Jessie (Christina) Best, Jr. all of Shallotte, NC; (6 Grandchildren); (8 Great-Grandchildren); (Brother) J.K. Clairda of Popular, SC; (Aunt) Inez Stanley of Nakina, NC; (Sister-in-Law) Doris Hewett of Supply, NC; A host of loving nieces, nephews, cousins, other relatives, and friends.
